Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Luminal ("the App," "we," "us") is developed and operated by an individual developer registered with Apple's Developer Program. This Privacy Policy explains what information Luminal collects, how it is used, and your choices — in plain language.

The short version

Luminal does not require an account, does not collect your name, email, or location, and does not use any advertising or analytics tracking SDKs. The App stores a small amount of information locally on your device to remember your preferences and trial status. Purchase information is handled entirely by Apple and our subscription-management provider, RevenueCat.

Information we do NOT collect

Information stored locally on your device

To provide core functionality, Luminal stores a small amount of data directly on your device (not on our servers), including:

This information stays on your device. If you delete the App, this data is deleted with it.

Purchases and subscriptions

If you choose to subscribe to Luminal Pro, your payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

We use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, to verify and manage active subscriptions. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, device-specific identifier and your subscription status (e.g. active, expired) in order to unlock Pro features. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment information. You can review RevenueCat's own privacy practices at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Aggregate, anonymous analytics

We use Apple's built-in App Store Connect Analytics to see aggregate, anonymized information such as how many people downloaded the App and which countries they downloaded it in. This is provided directly by Apple based on App Store activity and is never tied to your individual identity within our systems.

Crash and diagnostic data

Luminal does not include any third-party crash-reporting software. If you have opted in to "Share With App Developers" in your iPhone's Privacy settings, Apple may share anonymized crash and diagnostic reports with us through Apple's own platform tools. This is controlled entirely by your device settings and can be turned off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Children's privacy

Luminal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Your rights

Since Luminal does not collect personally identifiable information or maintain user accounts, there is no personal data on our servers to access, correct, or delete. Any data related to your subscription is managed through your Apple ID and can be reviewed or cancelled at any time via Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your device.
